• Supporting the education of nearly 6500 children and youth from economically disadvantaged families across Tamilnadu since 2021.

• Constructed toilets in Sengulam Colony, Valavanthankottai, and Poosari Street Anganwadi.

• Constructed rain water harvesting in Thirunedungulam, supported by IOCL, Chennai.

• SATO pan toilet construction at Thuraiyur, Trichy, supported by LIXIL India Ltd.

• Ponnampatty Faecal Sludge Treatment Plant Constructed with the support of FINISH Society.

• Swachhta Bakhwada Awareness Programme was conducted to promote health and hygiene awareness, distributed doormat weaving machines, conducted vigilance awareness programmes, and bicycle rally supported by IOCL, SRPL, Chennai.

• Recognised as a Key Resource Centre [KRC] by the Department of Water & Sanitation, Trichy.

• Provided masonry training for the construction of UDDTs in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Orissa, West Bengal, and Uttaranchal with the support of UNICEF, Plan International and under the TSC programme of the Government.  

• Started pilot urine bank for research and further study for extraction of struvite, the nutrient in urine, for farm application in powder form, with the support of IIT, New Delhi.

• Constructed one pilot model of Sludge Treatment Plant at Musiri to avoid the contamination of sludge water in to the irrigation canal and the river Cauvery, supported by Waste Netherlands’ and Government’s self-sufficiency scheme.

• Constructed twelve school UDDTs in five districts, supported by UNICEF and World Toilet Organization (Singapore).

• Gifted 1500 families with cattle, supported by Hefer Project International (HPI).

• Constructed three Ecosan Community Compost Toilets (ECCT) in Musiri block. This is the first such construction in the country. Introduced “Use Toilet And Get Money” scheme instead of pay and use toilet at Saliyar Street ECCT, Musiri, which is a first of its kind in the world, with the support of Waste Netherlands.

• Improved the health and kitchen sanitation of 1500 households with smokeless stoves in 2005, supported by Women Development Corporation.

• Constructed 4 watersheds since 1988 and Constructed 40,000 toilets in Musiri block under the TSC programme from 1997 – 2004; and 60,000 toilets under NBA and SBM.

• Total 25,000 toilets have been constructed in Tamil Nadu and other states, with the support of the Government and funding agencies.
